Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026

TheDiligence ("we", "our", "the controller") is committed to handling personal data responsibly and transparently. This page explains what we collect through this website, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

Controller: [Your Legal Entity Name], [Registered address]. For any privacy matter: privacy@thediligence.app.

1. What we collect

This site collects almost no personal data. The exceptions are:

  • Infrastructure logs. Vercel, our hosting provider, may log your IP address as part of normal server operation. We do not access, export, or process these logs for any purpose.
  • Aggregated analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless service. It records only anonymised, aggregated page‑view counts. No IP addresses, no persistent identifiers, no cookies.

2. Booking

When you click "Book time with us", you navigate to Cal.com. Any data you provide there — name, email address, availability — is processed by Cal.com Ltd under their privacy policy. TheDiligence and Cal.com are independent data controllers for that data.

3. Cookies

We set no cookies — no analytics cookies, no session cookies, no advertising trackers.

4. Legal basis for processing

Where we process any personal data, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website (Art. 6(1)(f) UK GDPR / GDPR). Because we collect so little data, and because infrastructure logs are never used to identify individuals, the impact on your privacy is minimal.

5. Data transfers

Vercel infrastructure is operated in the United States. Vercel maintains Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for transfers from the UK and the EEA. See Vercel's privacy policy for details.

6. Retention

Infrastructure log retention is governed by Vercel's own policies. Aggregated analytics data contains no personal identifiers; there is nothing to delete.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15)
  • Rectify inaccurate data (Art. 16)
  • Erase data where we no longer have a basis to hold it (Art. 17)
  • Restrict processing in certain circumstances (Art. 18)
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
  • Portability of data provided by you (Art. 20)

Because we collect almost no personal data through this site, there is usually nothing to act on. To exercise any right, contact: privacy@thediligence.app. We will respond within one calendar month.

8. Complaints

  • UK residents: you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
  • EU residents: you may complain to your national supervisory authority. In France: the CNIL at cnil.fr.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above. For changes that affect data we hold about you, we will notify you directly where possible.
